Thanks to all my helper monsters and to all who visited the Carnevil. There were at least 300 - a nice turnout for a great evening weather wise.

Below are some of the preliminary photos of work that went into the haunt.

Here's the link to the photos of

Trick-or-Treat night.

There's a pile of them so sit back and enjoy.

The Official Free Ticket

to be handed out Trick-Or-Treat night

The back of the ticket

Azreal ready to reap!

My favorite new prop.  My wife protests, but I'd like to keep him around for December and pass him off as the

"Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come"

- now all I need is Marley,

and those other two goofs that plagued ol' Scrooge.

My whole life is a facade :)

The Harbinger of Halloween

(affectionately known as Grandpa)

got a makeover this year.  He's a good foot taller,

at least 7 feet, this year and

way lighter thanks to a PVC frame.

A Night Shot

After many inquiries about the spider,

Bob has returned this year.

Last year's door was made of foam board.  Very light, but it's amazing how rigid foam shatters in sub-freezing temperatures over the winter when one knocks over one's foam board door.

The new and improved door is made from old pallets.  84 Lumber was giving them away free.

- every haunter's dream - "Free Pallets".

"Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter"

The tunnel returns.  Note the scary garbage can with trash from my construction.  Does this stuff require a building permit??????

The madness begins to take shape in the back yard - October 10, 2003

I'm sure there's a 12 step program to prevent one from building haunted attractions in one's yard,

but I haven't found it yet

- though, I suppose I'm not looking very hard.

October 22nd front.

Some guy named Professor DeCorpse

put up flyers for his CarnEvil on my castle!

Some dirty little b@#$!%d stole my gargoyle "Abandon Hope" sign the day of the wind attack.  It was securely liquid nailed and drywall screwed on at noon, but was curiously absent at 4:30.  I have another ;-) and when this one goes up I hope they try to take it - he, he.  Let's just say I'll be checking the color of everyone's hands on TOT night - he, he, he.

A new flyer (undoubtedly put up by the evil carnies) appears across last year's sign.

Another night shot of the castle.  Note the strobe skull shining through the canvas.  When off, it can't be seen but when it flashes it looks like a skull is appearing in the castle wall.

This cute little skellie waves happily from the top of the castle.
