Several hundred hours went

into the haunt this year.  Here's

some photos of some of the prep

work involved by us nutty people.

Old Friends.

New Acquaintances.

The first pallet is not too bad to move.

The 70th becomes a bit heavy.

I'm not sure if having this in my backyard

makes me insane.

My wife, on the other hand,

has signed the commitment papers

and has threatened to use them

if her backyard looks like this

come November 1st.

This is the new gate I built as a permanent

real world entrance to my walk.

As soon as I started to put it up

people began to ask if I was getting

ready for Halloween.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment toward

my Halloween building skills or if they're

implying that everything I build looks like

a haunted house Halloween prop.

Here's some coffin crawlers.

What was I thinking???

The cattle chutes.

I swear this will look

like something when I'm done.

Slave Labor.

The Black Dragon

rises from the briny deep!

New slaves !

October 1st, 2004

I tried to stop the neighbor,

but as you can see he has lost his

sanity too!  The haunt will wind

through his yard also this year.

The sign announcing dates and times.

Grandpa has a kinda "Village of the Damned"

thing going on with his eyes after a quick

makeover this year.  The winters are taking

their toll on him.

A night shot of the pilot.

One of the build supervisors.  Lava Dog.

101 uses for old cribs.

Lava corpse with a 1st application

of Great Stuff Foam Insulation.

Hope the building inspectors don't pay us a visit.

A couple of shots from above.
