Traveling Toby visits

www.CastleNottingham.com

in Altoona, PA

On Friday July 7th, 2006 my family and I

arrived home from vacation to find a

surprise guest on our dining room table.

Traveling Toby had come unannounced and

had found us away for the week.  Apparently

he took it upon himself to visit a few of

the sights while we were gone.

Toby must be a Penn State fan cause he

went over the mountain to Happy Valley

to visit Beaver Stadium

home of the Penn State Nittany Lions.

There he is above the "The".

Toby pondering all the relationships

consummated upon the statue of the

Nittany Lion - yes one of the odd

traditions of drunken undergrads

since 1940 when the statue was ...

erected.

Since Toby is a big fan of the SciFi channel

show "Ghosthunters" he decided to visit

two of the sites that the very first episode

included.  Even though TAPS declared

both un-haunted, Toby thought they were

creepy just the same.

The RailRoaders Museum where the ghost

of one of the shop workers - the original

use of the building that now houses the

museum - has been seen.

The Mishler Theater where the likes of

Harry Houdini played and employees have seen

the ghost of the late owner walking the

catwalk late at night.

Both sites have been known to host

haunted attractions in October.

Fortunately Toby took photos of his

little visit to Altoona.  Best of luck on

your travels Toby
